Americans have elected their 47th president. In the Oval Office will sit Donald Trump, the eccentric billionaire and Republican candidate who governed the United States from 2016 to 2020. His return to the White House raises concerns among many social groups, including LGBTQ+ individuals.
Trump couldn't have won the election without the support of Elon Musk. The CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and platform X invested nearly CAD 270 million into Trump's campaign, appeared at rallies, and promoted the Republican candidate on his social media platform. His transgender daughter, Vivan Jenna Wilson, strongly disagrees with her father's views.
Elon Musk's daughter has no relationship with her father
Wilson is one of six children Musk has with his first wife, Justine Wilson. The 20-year-old has completely cut ties with her biological father. She accused him of being cruel and absent during her upbringing. She also stated that she couldn't rely on him during her transition process (gender correction).
In response to his daughter's accusations, Musk said that Wilson had been infected with the "woke mind virus." He blamed "neo-Marxists" in elite private schools and universities for the break in his relationship with Wilson. In an interview, he went so far as to say that he "lost a son" and that Wilson is "dead" to him.
Vivan Jenna Wilson devastated after the election
The billionaire's daughter commented on the election result through the Threads app, owned by Meta:
"I've thought this for a while, but yesterday confirmed it for me. I don't see my future being in the United States. Even if he's [Donald Trump - ed. note] only in office for 4 years, even if the anti-trans regulations magically don't happen, the people who willingly voted this in are not going anywhere anytime soon," wrote Vivian Wilson.
Wilson was active on social media throughout the election campaign, openly expressing her support for the Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
