Drone attack ignites fires across Kyiv, residents evacuated
From midnight in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, an air raid alert is in effect. The Russians have also launched drones into the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Poltava regions. An explosion occurred in the capital of Ukraine. A fireball was visible over the city. The air raid is ongoing.

As reported by media in the capital of Ukraine, a Russian drone struck the 33rd floor of a high-rise in the Pechersk district. This is the right bank district and simultaneously the city centre.
"Evacuation of people from the high-rise in the Pechersk district is underway, where as a result of the attack by the hostile drone, a fire broke out. No one was injured. Services are working on the scene," stated the city military administration.
Later it was added that the drone struck the so-called technical floor of the building.
Fragments of the drones also fell in the Holosiiv district. "The shock wave damaged windows in some apartments of the building. We have no reports of any injured persons. Next to garages, an area of a gas station is on fire. Firefighters are working," informed the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko.
Remains of a shot-down drone also fell on a house in the Solomianskyi district. One person was injured. In the Obolon district, debris set fire to a business centre building. Also, a two-storey building in the Podil district caught fire.
Alerts in some regions have been ongoing since 2:30 PM Eastern Time (Chernihiv region). Currently, the authorities do not report any losses in other parts of the country.
