How to make meat patties better than ever? Experiment with them a little! It's simple: while shopping for dinner, stop by the vegetable store and pick up a certain healthy vegetable. And it's not onions!

Is it worth tinkering with traditional dishes? In our opinion, there's nothing wrong with it! Ultimately, it's always about the taste, not conventions and culinary purism. Well, there's something else: health. After all, no one would want meticulously crafted variations to be harmful to our bodies. But rest assured, today's example is not—quite the opposite.

Meat patties—because that's what we are "tackling" today—are a classic dish open to various kitchen experiments. You can bake them or combine them with cottage cheese (which we've described before) and other ingredients. Recently, we decided that one more ingredient would perfectly complement this dish. It's cauliflower, making the patties fluffy and juicy and bringing new nutritional value. Do we need to explain further that it's worth trying? Let us know what you think, and in the meantime, here's the recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of ground meat,
  • several cauliflower florets,
  • 1 egg,
  • 1 small onion,
  • 2 garlic cloves,
  • breadcrumbs,
  • salt, pepper.

  1. Divide the cauliflower into florets and grate each one. Peel and finely chop the onion. Add these ingredients to the meat (you can sauté the onion beforehand if you prefer).
  2. Now season the meat mixture with minced garlic cloves, salt, and pepper. Add the egg and a tablespoon of breadcrumbs. Alternatively, you can use soaked bread.
  3. Form patties from the prepared mixture. Coat them in breadcrumbs and fry in hot oil until browned. Don't forget to drain the excess oil from the patties at the end. Enjoy!
