Deliciously simple hazelnut cake: A novice baker's delight

The preparation method is so straightforward you won't believe it. And besides the nuts, the cake includes one more specifically chosen ingredient — bananas.

Hazelnut Cake
Ingredients:
- 3 ripe bananas,
- about 225 grams of hazelnuts,
- 2 eggs,
- 340 grams of all-purpose flour,
- 100 grams of butter,
- 140 grams of sugar,
- 2 teaspoons baking powder,
- 1 package of vanilla sugar.
Preparation Method:
- Crack the eggs and mix with vanilla sugar and half of the white sugar.
- Peel the bananas, cut them into smaller pieces, and add to the above mixture.
- Mix again. Reduce speed and gradually add the flour. Finally, add the baking powder.
- Chop the nuts, but not too finely.
- In a pan, heat the butter, add the sugar, and stir until the mixture starts to caramelize. Now add the chopped hazelnuts. Keep on the pan for a while longer, then remove from the heat.
- Line a baking form with parchment paper. Pour half of the prepared batter into it. Now a "layer" of caramelized nuts, then batter again, and nuts once more.
- Place the form in the oven, set to 175°C, and bake for about 40 minutes, Eastern Time. The hazelnut cake will be ready after this time. Enjoy!
