Danny Drinkwater, a former star of clubs like Leicester City and Chelsea, posted a photo from a construction site on Instagram. The retired footballer faced heavy criticism and responded to the unpleasant comments. In the past, he struggled with significant mental health issues.

Danny Drinkwater's career ended in October 2023. Despite his great success in winning the Premier League with Leicester in the 2015-2016 season, his football journey wasn't rich in trophies, and its ending was very sad.

The footballer struggled with mental health issues. He was caught driving under the influence of alcohol and also got into a fight outside a nightclub, during which he suffered ankle ligament injuries. As a Chelsea player, he earned 120,000 pounds per week, yet after his career ended, he hasn't been doing well financially.

The former central midfielder posted a photo on social media showing him working on a construction site. "Today on the construction site," he noted in the caption. Unfortunately, this was not a good move for him as he received negative comments for it. One of the internet users said that the footballer "hit rock bottom,” to which he did not remain indifferent and responded:

He also added a video on Instastories, clearly happy while returning from the construction site with his colleagues.

Danny Drinkwater is a product of Manchester United's academy. He has also played for clubs like Huddersfield Town, Cardiff City, Watford FC, Barnsley FC, Burnley FC, Aston Villa, Kasimpasa, and Reading. In 2016, he was a pillar of Leicester City, with which he won the English Championship. Then, his career collapsed.
