Danny Drinkwater's career ended in October 2023. Despite his great success in winning the Premier League with Leicester in the 2015-2016 season, his football journey wasn't rich in trophies, and its ending was very sad.

The footballer struggled with mental health issues. He was caught driving under the influence of alcohol and also got into a fight outside a nightclub, during which he suffered ankle ligament injuries. As a Chelsea player, he earned 120,000 pounds per week, yet after his career ended, he hasn't been doing well financially.

Anyone who thinks earning good money will solve all of your problems is not true at al. Mental health is more important than physical., he said in one of the interviews.

One of the internet users said that the footballer "hit rock bottom,” to which he did not remain indifferent and responded:

Some of these messages, behave. I love being on site grafting! It's a choice

He also added a video on Instastories, clearly happy while returning from the construction site with his colleagues.

Danny Drinkwater is a product of Manchester United's academy. He has also played for clubs like Huddersfield Town, Cardiff City, Watford FC, Barnsley FC, Burnley FC, Aston Villa, Kasimpasa, and Reading. In 2016, he was a pillar of Leicester City, with which he won the English Championship. Then, his career collapsed.
