Cupra has finally made it across the ocean, though in a form no one expected. It's doubtful that the Spanish brand is happy with this "promotional campaign."

It's been known for a while that Cupra intends to enter the American market, offering its models in select states. Although the debut date is not yet confirmed, Cupra has already made headlines. This is all due to a discovery in Florida.

A few days ago, the ocean washed 55 mysterious packages with the Cupra logo ashore. It quickly turned out to be cocaine. The US Border Patrol valued the 68-pound (31-kilogram) load at about a million dollars.

Where the load came from or why it ended up on the ocean shore is unknown. What is certain, however, is that it was not sent from Martorell, and the use of the Cupra logo is pure coincidence. Smugglers often use known trademarks to decorate drugs. This time it just happened to be Cupra.
