Cocoa-coffee smoothie with millet: A breakfast game changer
Cocktails are not always associated with a filling meal but rather a snack between main courses. However, adding one ingredient can significantly boost the drink's value and keep hunger at bay for a longer period of time.

A coffee drink will stimulate action, and with millet, it will also work great as a quick second breakfast. It is an ideal choice for people looking for a healthy and nutritious meal that is easy and quick to prepare. You can cook millet in the evening and add it to the blender with your favourite fruits, yogurt, and milk in the morning. I go for a delicious combination of coffee, peanut butter, and banana.
Cocoa-coffee smoothie with millet
It tastes like the best dessert and is healthy and refreshing. This smoothie is a summer must-have that I reach for every week. Adding cooked millet to the smoothie is a great way to create a delicious and filling breakfast meal that will provide plenty of energy for the whole morning. Millet is rich in protein, fibre, and minerals, greatly enhancing the smoothie's nutritional value.
A bit of cinnamon, cocoa, and peanut butter enhances the smoothie's taste. The banana makes it sweet, but the ripeness of the banana will determine its sweetness. You can also add sugar. Both cow's milk and plant-based substitutes will work well in this recipe.
Ingredients:
- 125 mL of cooled coffee
- 75 mL of cooked millet
- 125 mL of milk
- 1 banana
- 8 grams of cocoa
- a pinch of cinnamon
- 15 grams of peanut butter
- 10 grams of brown sugar (optional)
Preparation method:
- Brew coffee and let it cool.
- Cook millet according to package instructions. Cool.
- Transfer the millet, coffee, and remaining ingredients to a tall container and blend until smooth.
- Pour the smoothie into a glass and serve immediately.
A simple dessert and healthy snack in one is now ready. You can also chill the smoothie in the refrigerator and serve it cold—it works perfectly for hot days. Enjoy!
