The politician gave an interview to an Estonian journalist. During the conversation, Johnson stated, "He needs to understand that Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania—none of these countries are part of the Russian imperium anymore; and nor is Ukraine."

Johnson addressed Putin

"It's over. Putin, you idiot. There is no more empire," Johnson said in the interview with the Estonian journalist.

Ukrainian media highlight that this is not the first time a high-ranking official has directed such language at Putin.

Putin proposed a "duel": Zelensky didn’t mince words

In mid-December 2024, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called Putin a "dovboyob" (fool). Zelensky responded in this way to Putin's controversial proposal for a technological duel over Kyiv.

The Russian leader suggested that the West should position all available air defense systems in Kyiv to attempt to intercept the Russian Oreshnick missile.

"People are dying, and he considers it 'interesting.' Dumbass," wrote Zelensky.
