Blueberries are available in stores year-round, and those who grow them home have no complaints about their harvest. These small, purple berries may look rather unassuming at first glance, but they contain a whole array of nutrients that rank them among the healthiest fruits.

Blueberries ripen in the summer, but you can easily find them out of season. They are a tasty addition to oatmeal or a component of fruit tarts and a healthy snack. Most importantly, they are a rich source of micro and macroelements essential for the proper functioning of the body. Blueberries are full of antioxidants, which play a key role in protecting the body from oxidative stress and free radicals.

To prepare blueberry juice, you only need the fruit itself. The entire process is extremely simple: wash the berries and blend them or pass them through a juicer. The prepared drink can be stored in the refrigerator or pasteurized for extended enjoyment.
