At the London Film Festival premiere, Andrew Garfield arrived on the red carpet with a life-sized cardboard cutout of Florence Pugh. The actor posed with it for photos, bringing smiles to the faces of those present.
Florence Pugh, who couldn't attend the event, appreciated Garfield's gesture. On her Instagram, she wrote: "It truly hurts not being there to celebrate the release, but I’m raising a glass from very far away. Love to you all." The actress called her colleague's joke "genius" and added, "Well done, Andrew."
What is "We live in time" about?
"We live in time" tells the story of Tobias (Andrew Garfield) and Almut (Florence Pugh), who meet under unusual circumstances when Almut accidentally hits Tobias with her car. We follow the story of their romance and the challenges they face, including Almut's cancer diagnosis.
John Crowley directed the film, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6 and received a standing ovation. It has already been released in select theatres worldwide.
