We know the breading recipe for pork chops by heart. Many chefs claim it's just as crucial as the meat itself. It impacts the taste and appearance of the chops, helping them stay juicy.
Changes in the breading
The standard breading ingredients are just eggs, flour, and breadcrumbs. But here's how you can change up your pork chops. Simply add sesame seeds to the breadcrumbs; they have a slightly sweet, nutty flavour that complements the meat and are frequently used in Asian cuisine. They also provide valuable nutrients like protein, healthy fats, B vitamins, and minerals, including iron and zinc. You can also add buckwheat flour to the breadcrumbs for a unique taste.
Pork chops in sesame breading
Ingredients:
- 400 g pork loin, boneless
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 125 ml sesame seeds
- 3 tablespoons wheat flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Canola oil for frying
Preparation method:
- Clean the pork loin, and cut it into slices about 2 cm thick, then pound them with a meat mallet. Season the chops with salt and pepper.
- Prepare three plates: place the wheat flour in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and breadcrumbs mixed with sesame seeds in the last.
- Coat the pounded meat first in the flour, then in the eggs, and finally in the breadcrumbs with sesame seeds.
- Fry the prepared pork chops in well-heated canola oil over medium heat for 4–5 minutes on each side.
